All About The Scrapbook Fairy

I don't copy my scrapbook page designs from anyone.

I am a 34 year old, mother of four, who was born and raised in Southern California. I am also the oldest "CHILD" in the family, and will always be just that, "a child".

I come from a very creative and talented family, my mother was a florist who liked to sew It's Me!and make any kind of craft that she could get her hands on. My father was a Cop but could always be found cutting or sawing something new for my mom. I have two younger siblings (a brother and a sister). I remember when my sister was little because she would always pick my mother's scraps up off the shop floor and make bouquets for her dolls. My brother, well, lets just say he made a mess!

Like all children, I had a favorite grandmother Simple Joys :: The Scrap Fairywho spoiled me rotten. My Grandma was a wonderful woman, with a huge heart, that loved all children and toys. Yes, I said, "toys". She had more toys and dolls than TOYS R' US. Big toys, little toys, old toys, new toys... they were all on her ranch. She had rooms full of dolls and their parts and knew exactly who belonged to what and the year they were made. She showed me how to curl their wigs and re-string there broken bodies. I always found this fun when no one else did. Unfortunately, Nelie has passed on, and most of her estate was squandered, but the one thing I did inherit, was her love of children and toys.

Well... enough of all that... How did all of this start? I have attention deficit disorder but instead of going nuts I channel my issues into my projects. At any one time, I am cutting, scrapbooking or sewing three different projects. My husband is very understanding and has helped me transform our garage into my own personal little design shop. I have multiple work stations so that I can simply jump from area to area depending on what technique I need to use at any given time. I don't copy my scrapbook page designs from anyone. I do get various color inspirations from the things I see in my day to day life, but each layout is unique and no two layouts are exactly the same (even if they are of the same topic).

The Scrap Fairy all started as a way to "fund" my obsession with scrapbooking. I started listing pages on eBay and I have sold over 780 items with and earned a great feedback rating in the process. Since my eBay efforts have been going so well I decided to expand my website, offer more options for custom orders and designs, and have my own online store. My husband takes care of the "technical" aspects of The Scrap Fairy as well as maintains my web site.

I encourage you to look around my site, drop me a line with any suggestions you may have by using the "Contact Me" page, and enjoy your visit.
